A call to arms

Dear Parents

As outlined in the letter that came home with your children in the week before Easter, the Goole Schools are facing unprecedented cuts to our budgets.
To put this simply, our school is going to struggle to maintain its current position in the future. This could lead to increased class sizes, reduced support staff and a lack of resources. Schools in our cluster are also at risk of possible closure.

The cluster headteachers feel so strongly about this that we have written to our local MP, Andrew Percy about this. We are now asking you to do the same. Below there is a link that will allow you to email him directly. If you prefer to send a letter, suggested wording is attached to this webpage. Please make sure that you include your name, address and which school/schools you are representing.
This is not just about Boothferry, but every school including Academies in the future.

The link to email Andrew Percy is http://www.schoolcuts.org.uk

Thank you for your support in this matter. If you would any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
