Virtual Sports Day 2020

Due to the temporary closure of the school to most years groups because of the coronavirus outbreak, we are obviously unable to hold our usual Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 Sports Days. We know that all of you love to take part in the Sports Days and so Mr Capewell has organised a Virtual Sports Day that you can take part in at home.

In the two videos below, Mr Capewell and Miss Ware, demonstrate to you the activities that we would like you to participate in at home. There are 5 different activities for Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 children, as demonstrated in the Key Stage 1 video, and 10 different activities for Key Stage 2 children – shown in the Key Stage 2 video. For each activity, we want to know how many you can manage to do in 1 minute. There is a helpful score sheet underneath the videos that you can download and print off to record your results. You might need a family member to help you time 1 minute or to help you count how many of the different activities you manage.

Once you have finished your Virtual Sports Day activities and completed the score sheet, you can e-mail it back to school to this address: Don’t worry if you can’t attach the actual sheet to the e-mail, all we need to know is: your name; which school team you are in; and the number of actions you completed for each activity within 1 minute. Once Mr Capewell has all the results, and you have until Friday 10th July to send in your results, he will tally up the number of activities completed by each team and announce the winners! Best of luck to everyone!
