EAL (English as an additional language) trip

On Wednesday 4th May, a selection of our EAL (English as an additional language) children from Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 took part in an exciting morning developing their English language speaking skills.  We spent the morning at Tesco in Goole finding out about the store whilst learning lots of new words in English!  The children took part in a mini treasure hunt around the fruit and veg aisle, learning all about different types of fish and cheese. They also explored the bakery and got a behind-the-scenes look in the chillers.  We had a fantastic morning and especially enjoyed tasting the different types of cheese and a lot of exciting and tasty fruits!
