Friends Of Boothferry

Please follow us on Twitter at @BoothferryFrnds to find out what we’re up to and how you can help.

What is the Friends’ Association?
The Friends’ Association is a combination of staff and parents who work together to raise money for all those extra special things that the school budget just cannot provide. It also organises social events for parents and pupils, to make your children’s school life more enjoyable.

What do friends do?
We organise many events; some to raise money, some just for fun:
Discos, Bingo, Fairs, Egg Decorating, Fancy Dress Days, Prize Draws and Fun Nights.

What do friends pay for?
We have paid for Playground Equipment, Classroom Equipment, Football Kit, Educational Visitors, a Buddy Bench, Competition Prizes and Theatre Visits.

We subsidise school trips, helping to keep the cost to a minimum for parents, and their drinks throughout sports days.

What can you do?
The Friends’ Association meet once or twice a term, to organise events, discuss fund raising ideas and decide how best to spend the money raised. We would be very pleased to welcome any new parents and their children to these meetings. Even if you only have a little time to spare, we would be grateful for your help or your ideas. The Friends’ Association is very low on parents and we need your help to ensure all our children enjoy the benefits of our fund raising for years to come.

You can e-mail us at: friends@boothferryprimary.co.uk for more information or with offers of help.

Thank you for your support.
