National Railway Museum

For our entry point as part of our topic All Aboard, Year 4 visited the National Railway Museum in York.

We explored the different trains, learning about the history of steam trains and how trains were developed.

Some of the trains we saw were the Rocket (the first steam train), the Mallard (the fastest steam train) and a Shinkansen (bullet train).

As part of our tour around the museum, Year 4 completed an object trail and maths trail to help improve our maths skills.
