Duathlon Challenge

The pupils of Boothferry Primary will be taking their fitness to new heights by attempting to collectively bike and run the distance to a satellite above the earth, a whopping 717km!

Through the event, pupils will learn about the exciting topic of Earth Observation. The ‘View from Space to Earth’ challenge is set by Team GB Paralympian Lauren Steadman and glaciologist Dr Anna Hogg – you can watch them set the challenge in the short video below.

The Triathlon Trust provides all the equipment required to participate including bikes mounted on turbo trainers (to make them static) fitted with trip computers to log the distance travelled. The activity is non-competitive, fully inclusive and suitable for children of all levels of ability.
