Violin playing in 3P

Year 3 are extremely fortunate this term to be learning the Violin on a Tuesday morning. Today was our first lesson and the session is described by some of the children.

Today a visitor came and his name is Mr Brewster. He came to teach us how to play a violin. He even taught us to pluck the strings on a violin. A violin is made from wood and if you drop the violin it will break.

Today we had a visitor called Mr Brewster. WE had violins and violas in cases. Mr Brewster taught us how to play the instruments. We needed to have our left hand to hold. The violin had a chin rest to put our chin on.
