Year 4 School Trip to Hull

As part of our topic ‘All Aboard!’ Year 4 took the train to Hull to visit the Streetlife Museum.

We took the train to Hull station where we were given a tour of the station. We were very lucky to meet a train driver, who showed us inside the drivers cabin – and even let us test the train horn!

From there we walked to the streetlife museum where we discovered the different modes of transport that we have been studying in our topic.

After the museum tour we walked back to the station and took the train back home.

Throughout the trip we met many people who work on the railways and it was interesting to see the different roles that they do.

We want to say a big thank you to Catherine from Northern who helped us get there safely, Andy and Nigel from Transpennine Express who gave us a tour of Hull Train Station and Richard the train driver who showed us what it is like to drive a train.

Open weeks in Foundation allows parents to enjoy school as much as our children.

Thank you for treating my child like your own.
