Year 6 Trip to The Deep
For our entry point for our topic ‘What Price Progress?’ Year 6 visited The Deep in Hull. Our topic explores issues relating to climate change and the impact that humans are having on global warming.
As part of the workshop, we learned how oceans absorb carbon and how changes in the acidity of the water can impact species of animals who live there. We saw what the effects of rising sea temperatures had on coral reefs and how animals are affected by this change.
In addition to the workshop, we explored the variety of marine animals such as jellyfish, penguins, starfish and turtles!
