On Wednesday 4th May, a selection of our EAL (English as an additional language) children from Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 took part in an exciting morning developing their English language speaking skills. In the spring term Year 3 produced leaflets providing information for tourists visiting the ruins of Pompeii. They used Publisher to design the leaflets and researched the information on the internet. This week in Year 1 we have been creating our own aliens! We used a variety of materials to create our aliens, then we had to think of some adjectives to describe the aliens we made. We used these aliens for our Big Write and the children wrote some fantastic sentences to describe their aliens.
In year 3 over the last couple of weeks, they have had lots of fun exploring the different parts of volcanoes and understanding why we have natural disasters such as earthquakes in our world.
