The project was funded by the Hook and Goole Charity who kindly donated a grant to purchase musical instruments for our schools. As part of our Design Technology project on building and designing trains, Year 4 designed a moving train. We were invited to a Primary Engineers event, sponsored by Siemens, where the children confidently talked about the design process behind their trains. Trains in Year 4

As part of our topic 'All Aboard' Year 4 have been designing and making trains. We were inspired by our visit to the National Railway Museum in January. We used electrical circuits with a motor to power our trains and designed them so that they could travel in a straight line.
