Year 4 had the wonderful opportunity to perform Music at Delta Academy, Goole. The project was funded by the Hook and Goole Charity who kindly donated a grant to purchase musical instruments for our schools. Year 5 pupils went off to Bridlington on Wednesday to take part in an East Riding singing concert. The children had learnt the songs in the weeks before the concert and everyone had a very good time. As part of our Design Technology project on building and designing trains, Year 4 designed a moving train. We were invited to a Primary Engineers event, sponsored by Siemens, where the children confidently talked about the design process behind their trains. Their trains were then tested by experienced engineers to see if they meet the criteria
As part of our topic 'All Aboard' Year 4 have been designing and making trains. We were inspired by our visit to the National Railway Museum in January. We used electrical circuits with a motor to power our trains and designed them so that they could travel in a straight line.
Year 4 recently visited the National Railway Museum in York as part of their entry point into their topic 'All Aboard!' Our wonderful Choir have been performing throughout Goole this festive period. We performed concerts at Costa Coffee, The Courtyard and Beech Tree Care Home. We enjoyed performing Christmas Carols and spreading the festive cheer around Goole.
