Junction Take Over

Year 5 have just completed their wonderful Take Over Festival working with Junction Goole. As part of the festival, children had an opportunity to help out with the live shows by working as ushers, sitting in the box office and even controlling the light and sound from the gallery.
The children helped to select which shows they wanted to invite, and they then worked on the publicity side of the performances by writing their own press release which was published in the Goole Times. Some children even had the opportunity to speak live on Radio Humberside to talk about the work they had done.
All of us very much enjoyed the opportunity and were very grateful to Nicola and Lauren who came each work from Junction to help us create a successful festival.

I feel the school has advanced with regards to the appropriate curriculum for different age groups.
