Goole Fest Bike Day
Year six spent a wonderful day at the High school, exploring a range of different bikes and practising their skills. They had to complete a range of increasingly difficult tasks, to be able to progress onto the next stage. The final challenge was to jump off a ramp onto an airbag. All agreed that it was a brilliant day.
R-evolution Challenge Cup
After 6 weeks of intensive training, our very first cycle team took part in the R-evolution challenge cup at Ennerdale cycle circuit. The event was a full day of races that included Team pursuit, Relays, Cycle cross and individual road races. Our team of 8, made up of Year 5 pupils, did the school proud with their hard work and resilience,ย
Duathlon
The pupils of Boothferry Primary have taken their fitness to new heights by attempting to collectively bike and run the distance to a satellite above the earth, a whopping 717km! Through the event, pupils have learnt about the exciting topic of Earth Observation. The 'View from Space to Earth' challenge is set by Team GB Paralympian Lauren Steadman and glaciologist Dr Anna Hogg -
Junction Take Over
Year 5 have just completed their wonderful Take Over Festival working with Junction Goole. As part of the festival, children had an opportunity to help out with the live shows by working as ushers, sitting in the box office and even controlling the light and sound from the gallery. The children helped to select which shows they wanted to invite, and they then worked
