25 years of Yum!

Onย Friday 27th November, our cook, Mrs Sharron Marwood celebrated a very special anniversary.ย  She has been cooking the meals for the children of Boothferry for 25 years - that's over 200,000 meals served. Using adjectives to describe a setting

This week in Year 1 our English work has been focused around using adjectives to describe characters and settings. Each group was asked to create a different setting using a variety of materials, thinking carefully about what the setting looks like. Children in Need

Lots of children throughout the school came dressed as superheroes and their own heroes today for Children in Need.ย  All children donated lots of money to the charity and celebrated with an assembly at the end of the day.ย  The school saw some fantastic costumes, we had spiderman, superman, wonderwoman, batman, but also soldiers, policemen, nurses and someone came as Miss Foster!ย  All the teachers

Naming types of houses

This week in Year 1 we went on a walk around some of the streets in Goole, looking at the different types of houses there are. We used an app called 'Pic Collage' to take pictures of the different houses and add text to name the types of houses. "Look!
