Road Safety

To complete our part two week campaign surrounding road safety,ย East Riding's Assistant Road Safety Officer, David Butt delivered an assembly on Stop. Look. Listen.ย  The timing was based around the clocks changing over the half term holiday, with the messageย specificallyย tailored to the needs our our local area.ย  Theย differenceย between dark and light clothing, reflective and Hi-Vis were all covered, alongside safe routes to and from school.

Balance Bikes

On Tuesday the nursery children were invited to a balance bikes session. During the session the children learnt all about different aspects of road safety, such as; how to cross the road safely, how to start and stop when riding a bicycle and what the different signs and traffic light signals mean. World Gymnaestrada

Our Year 5 superstar Alex recently spent two weeks in Helsinki, representing The Great Britain Gymnastics team. ย The team was made up of over 30 gymnasts who spent their time training, competing and sight seeing. One of the events saw Alex vaulting on stage, in the street. ย Alex's team were delighted to find out that they has come second out of hundreds of other teams

The Great Fire of London

Following on from learning about the Great Fire of London last week, we have been thinking about adjectives and which words we could use to describe the fire. The Bakery in Pudding Lane was recreated in our classroom for our writing master class, allowing the children to consider what they might smell, see, hear and feel. ย  โ€œThe fire is red and hotโ€- Mason โ€œI
