Scavengers and Settlers
'On Wednesday the 7th October, 3P and 3W went to the Library to learn more about Scavengers and Settlers.ย The first activity was we had to go upstairs and we learned about stones called fossils.ย The next activity was we had to draw a picture to go with a caption.ย The last activity was the hunt for cavemen things.ย Bethany and I found them all.ย
Football Tournament
On Tuesday 6th October our school took part in a fantastic football tournament hosted by Goole AFC.ย Children from Year 5 and Year 4 played five games and won three of them!ย They did particularly well as other teams were mostly made up of pupils from Year 6!ย Following the tournament ย lots of children and parents stayed behind to watch the cup match between Goole
Harvest Festival
On Thursday 1st October (EYFS and KS1) and Friday 2nd October (KS2), Boothferry Primary School celebrated Harvest with a variety of poems, songs and hymns. Over 400 parents attended the celebrations and thoroughly enjoyed seeing their children perform to such a high standard. The Great Fire of London
In Year 1 this week we have been learning about the Great Fire of London. We have extended our knowledge of timelines by sequencing the key events from the fire. โThe fire was in 1666.โ Angel โThe houses were made of wood.โ Keiran โThe fire spread quickly because of the big wind.โ Ethan โThey went on boats to keep safe.โ Maja In maths we have
