NSPCC
On September 29th Kirsty from the NSPCC came to our school to talk to children about Childline. We met Buddy, who is in the shape of a speech bubble as we are allowed to talk to Childline about anything. We learnt a great way to remember the number using our fingers. It's 0800 1111. Murton Park Trip
Year 3 had an amazing time at Murton Park learning all about the Stone Age and Iron Age. Here are a few photos showing the amazing opportunities they had to 'live life as an early settler'
Bike Library
A new "Bike Library" has been set up making bicycles available for children to take and use at home for free. The project is being run by a local charity called R-evolution. Children may borrow bikes from 1 month up to 6 months. Helmets and other safety equipment are also available. The bicycles will be maintained by the charity at school.
Brain Week
This September all our classes spent time learning about how our brains work. We dissected jelly brain and learned all about the different functions that our 'super computers' perform. We even had some real pigs brains to look at.
