Year 6 Entry Point

The first day back at school after the Christmas holidays, we came dressed as characters from myths or legends . We did a fashion show with a catwalk and everyone showed off their fabulous costumes. There was posing, we introduced our characters and shared some facts, such as where the story originated. We had lots of fun. At first, we were a little nervous, but when the encore came along we were as brave as lions. Some people came as Greek goddesses or gods, others came as zombies and werewolves, a few came as unicorns and fairies. A pair of boys even came as legendary footballers, there was a superhero and even Dick Turpin. Back in class, our Maths activity was creating Top Trump cards based on our characters using our algebra knowledge from last term. In small groups, we created our own stories involving mythical creatures and turned them into comic strips. Take a look at the photos…
