Year 6 FAIRGROUNDS Exit Point

On Wednesday 18th October, Year 6 welcomed parents into school for their spectacular exit point celebrating the end of their Fairgrounds topic. Languages Day

To raise awareness of different languages every class from Nursery to Year 6 have dressed up to represent the country which they are learning about today. Children are tasting food, dancing, researching and speaking new languages.

Performance Poetry

5F have been learning about performances poetry and how to use both their voices and actions to enhance the poet's imagery and audience's enjoyment. They have learnt 'The Pig' by Roald Dahl off by heart and choreographed their own actions. We hope you enjoy the finished performance!

London Trip!

School Council enjoyed a trip down to London last week. The children visited the Houses of Parliament, learning about the history of Government and they went on a tour of the building. Science Day

We had a fantastic science afternoon last Friday 4th November, welcoming our parents to join us in our investigations. Fantastic learning across school included; exploring ice, investigating shadows, testing materials, making sandcastles, fireworks in a jar, acting out the circulatory system and exploring owl pellets! Temples, Tombs and Treasures

In Year 4 we launched our new topic: Temples, Tombs and Treasures with an exciting day packed with different Ancient Egyptian themed activities. The children took on the role of a tomb explorer to find ancient artifacts in Tutankhamun’s tomb; researched Ancient Egyptian gods and goddesses to make them their own Facebook page; became archaeologists

Dance

This term in PE, we were learning the Charleston (a dance made famous in the 1920s). We watched some videos from Strictly Come Dancing and created our own Charleston. We mastered the basic step and progressed to creating sequences of movements. It also gave us the opportunity to showcase our gymnastic talent! We filmed our

​Fairground Rides

At the beginning of term, the pupils of year 6 went on an exciting adventure to a theme park called Flamingo Land. We tested our nerve on some BIG rides and they were VERY exciting. After our thrilling trip to Flamingo Land, we decided to make some rides or our own with a working circuit!

Great year 4 writing!
